Home-Re-elect Randy Jones for Gainesville City Council Ward 3

He was born in Dallas, Texas in September of 1956 and is proud to be a fifth generation Texan. As a matter of fact, his Great Great Great Grandfather, James William George, fought and died at the Alamo.
He grew up in Mesquite, Texas and lived in the Dallas area until 1996 when he moved to Gainesville. He's known Gainesville all his life. He's had family here since the early 1950s.
He married the love of his life, Debbie, in March of 1984. They just celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. They have one Daughter, two Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren.
Over his adult life, He's been in sales, marketing and design of residential real estate, commercial real estate investment, transportation and national corporate relocation. He has founded, owned and run five companies. He was very proud to be able to sign the front of so many paychecks, not the back.
Since his teens, he's been an avid automobile enthusiast. He has personally owned 121 different vehicles (so far).
After his retirement at the end of 2023, a friend asked him, "Didn't you say that once you retired, you were going to get involved and run for City Council?"
So, in May of 2024, Gainesville City Councilman Ward 3, became his new (unpaid) Full Time Job!
He constantly strives to... ask the hard questions.
reject what doesn't make sense.
learn more when he don't know.
find a way that's "faster - better - cheaper". enlist the talents of others who possess skills that he doesn't have.
One of his favorite sayings...
"If all else fails, apply logic".
